Engineer Anthony Fortunas Swai,
founder and managing director of Epic Cargo Limited, is an experienced and transformative leader with a proven track record of delivering many changes in the transport industry. The transportation sector requires major changes and interlinkage between marine, air, and road transportation. As someone who has been in the industry for more than 40 years, he has participated in several policies, and strategic and action-related assignments with the purpose of supporting and implementing as well as creating a conducive environment for the transportation sector.

Some of the notable achievements are such as the removal of the $45 waiver to lower the cost of transportation and the implementation of one one-stop centre and a 24-hour centre for operation at Dar es Salaam Port. Further, he has been involved in the harmonization of transport charges around the Central Corridor and also participated in the creation of the tripartite agreement among members. Further, I was involved in setting up and steering the operation of Bandari College, an important organ for building capacity and support for Tanzanian ports and activities involved. These are some of the few milestones achieved under his leadership, supervision, participation, and advisory. It is my expectation that these are relevant qualifications for the Customs Agent and Logistics Association task as a member of the Board of Trustees.
